Guul Jacobs makes huge lidded pots from stoneware, that are strongly influenced by the traditional stoneware of Asia. Here we offer a handsome example in salt glaze whereby the pot's skin has been worked and an organic-look has been achieved, this also to the base. Various (six) bamboo-like grips to facilitate tying with string or rope. Of these hand-grips two have been repaired, but completed with original material. The pot has been fired in the quick wood kiln with Wim Jansen in Brunssum (limburg, NL).
