Philippe Dubuc was born in 1947 in Clamart near Paris (France). He lives and works in Eure and Loir. He was introduced to ceramics with the son of the great Tanimoto Akira Potter of Iga in the workshop "The horse backwards" from 1975 to 1978. From 1978 to 1988 he teaches ceramics in this same workshop. He starts ceramics solo with a philosophy marked by his reading approach: Hamada, Nietzsche and ancient Indian texts. He is supported by the friendship of Daniel de Montmollin. He has the art of assembling the colors like a painter (text from www.galerie-mediart-com).
